It seems everyone blogs these days. This is my first blog. I built it back in 2002-2003 to practice creating dynamic, web-based applications with PHP and MySQL (and a little Perl), not because I had anything to say.

Now, unless you’re a Cubs fan, 2003 might not seem that long ago. But in user interface and functionality, it’s forever. I’m talking old school. Stone knives and bear skins.

If you’re feeling nostalgic, put on your Mark Prior number 22 home jersey, grab a Mountain Dew Code Red, and step into my WABAC machine.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s craptastic.

Oh, this is what one of those fancy-pants new turnkey blogs looks like. It took about 25 minutes to set up at WordPress.com.
